Preserving Your Home

With a 30 year  background in the antiques business, I know how to protect your home and your objects. Since I communicate closely with customers I'm able to keep unexpected outcomes to a minimum and achieve the results you want for your space. For larger projects I can collaborate with other skilled tradesmen to bring your project to completion on time. Include me early in the design process, especially where your building "envelope" is concerned. My 8 years with Evergreen Builders gave me lots of experience with energy retrofits and the careful design of your project can save you money. While employed with Evergreen I participated in all phases of construction and received special training in weatherization and lead- safe renovation. I hold an EPA firm certificate to perform lead- safe renovation in your home. If the intended work site contains lead paint I can perform the work and keep you safe.  The dust control techniques I've learned can be used to contain dust and contamination for customers with allergies and sensitivities.

Philosophy

Arrive listening. Advise customers of options as each layer is uncovered, achieve consensus and execute. Weatherization work should be considered during remodels - explore these possibilities before closing walls and other cavities. I think a successful restoration respects the original space and enhances its function and longevity. This is my goal in home repair.
